Arrangements for Machail Yatra discussed with Power Minister

JAMMU, June 18: A deputation of Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha (SSSS), J&K led by its president, Nek Ram Manhas, met Power Minister, Sunil Kumar Sharma at Kishtwar and discussed arrangements for the Machail Yatra.
The deputation presented a memorandum of demands to the Minister concerning the Yatra. The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation. The Minister assured the deputation members that electrification of Machail village shall be completed at war footing and the village shall be provided power on inauguration date, which has been fixed as July 15.
Sharma also told deputation members that instructions to XEn R&B Kishtwar have been issued to black top 200 feet road in front of Yatri Bhawan, Gulab Garh, Padder. They were also assured that the langer and yatri sheds at Gulab Garh (Padder) shall be got constructed out of State funds during the ensuing Yatra.
They were further told that the motorable road as well as bridal path from Gulab Garh to Machail will be kept tidy for yatries. It was also assured to them that concern sectoral heads of Padder would not be allowed to charge any entry fee for the vehicles during yatra periods and the rates for parking shall also be brought down.
Regarding supply of ration, kerosene oil, LPG, medical facilities, traffic management, security management and refix of heli fare including digital display of heli passenger list. It was decided by the Minister that a meeting of high level heads of concerned departments shall be convened at Jammu on June 26 wherein threadbare discussion will be held and decision taken.
Those part of the deputation were executive members of the Sanstha—Nek Ram Manhas, Sewa Ram, Rajinder Singh, Kewal Singh Rana and Chuni Lal Shan.
