POONCH, June 18: Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO), Mendhar, Abdul Khaliq has been placed under suspension after complaints of non-supply of ration to some areas of Balnoi and Mankote in Mendhar Sub Division.
Official sources said that people from Balnoi and Sagra area of Mankote tehsil alleged that they were not getting ration for the last about 5-6 months. They alleged that concerned dealer was telling that TSO has not released his quota. They took up the matter with the MLA, Javed Rana.
The MLA spoke to the Assistant Director CAPD Poonch Mohd Sagir and asked him to take cognizance of the matter. Meanwhile, a video went viral on social media regarding non-supply of ration to many border areas by the CAPD Department in Mendhar Sub Division. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Minister concerned Ashraf Mir, directed the Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu, R A Inqlabi to suspend TSO.
Inqlabi when contacted said that TSO Mendhar Abdul Khaliq was holding the additional charge of Tehsil Mankote also. He has been placed under suspension pending inquiry by AD Poonch. He said that ration dealer Balnoi has also been suspended. Senior Assistant CAPD Mendhar, Mohd Sadiq has been given the additional charge as TSO Mendhar and Mankote.
