JAMMU, June 24: On the eve of celebration of 620th Kabir Jayanti which falls on June 28, a Shobha Yatra was organized by the Bhagat Samaj under the banner of Sadguru Kabir Jayanti Celebration Committee (J&K).
The general public/kabir panthies from different parts of the State attended the Shobha Yatra, which was taken out from MA Stadium, Jammu and after passing through Jewel Chowk, Gumat, Sunder Singh Road, Raghunath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Parade and Exchange, finally culminated at Kabir Mandir, Rehari.
GR Bhagat, co-ordinator of the celebration committee said that the objective of the Shobha Yatra was to send a message of Sadguru Kabir Maharaj’s ideology/philosophy which is based on humanity and welfare of all mankind irrespective of any religion, caste or creed.
Others prominent personalities of the Bhagat Samaj who were part of the Shobha Yatra include FC Bhagat (president, All J&K Kabir Sabha), Mohinder Bhagat (president, Bhagat Mahasaba), Behari Lal Bhagat (president, Megh Sudhar Sabha), Bhusan Lal Dogra (VC, SC Advisory Board), Prof Garu Ram Bhagat (Ex-MLA), Pawan Kumar (retired XEn), Tarsem Lal (CEO), Bodh Raj, Narinder Bhagat, Prof Ashok Bhagat, Yash Pal Bhagat, Ramesh Lal and Ravinder Bhagat.
