Corpn reached to door steps of weaker sections during my tenure: Balbir

JAMMU, June 25: The outgoing Vice-Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, & Backward Classes Development Corporation, Balbir Ram Rattan, while discussing the working of Corporation during his tenure of 13 months with the officials and employees at Head Office, Jammu, said that   the lesser known Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) has now scaled popularity and the credit goes to the team work. It is the display of sprit of team work, for which everyone has equal contribution and need to be applauded.
Balbir Ram Rattan, who later in the afternoon forwarded his resignation letter from the post of the VC to the Governor, on the directions of his party, the BJP, said that all the weaker sections of the society were benefitted by the welfare schemes of the Corporation. The Corporation in fact, reached the door steps of the poor and needy, helped them in setting earning units to be self reliant besides providing financial assistance to the meritorious students of reserved categories for pursuing higher studies. He said that working with the Corporation was a great experience and the time spent as VC will remain in the mind.
General Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, on this occasion, said that the VC worked whole heartedly not for the people who were seeking loan but also for the employees of the Corporation as a result of which many issues were resolved.
The meeting was attended by General Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, Section Officer, Anu Gupta, District Manager, Joginder Pal Atri, Technical Field Supervisor, Rupali Langer, Field Supervisors Sanjay Abrol and Jatinder Singh, Statistical Assistant Surekha Kumari and Personal Assistant Nusrat Bano.
