JAMMU, Dec 20 : The J&K Board of School Education organized a series of four workshops with an objective of inclusion of Economics and Disaster Management component in Social Sciences of class 9th and 10th.
Resource persons were from the Centre for Disaster Management Jammu University, Department of Economics, Kashmir University, Higher Education Department, Masters and Lecturers teaching Social Sciences in schools of J&K.
Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Chairman BOSE emphasized that it was the need of the hour that students are made familiar with the Economic environment and basic financial literacy.
Dr Renu Goswami, Secretary JKBOSE, emphasized on importance of practical training in the Disaster Management component and the role of civil defence.
