JAMMU, June 27: Former minister and MLA Basholi,  Choudhary Lal Singh today said that it is opportune time for the Governor N N Vohra and his Council to order CBI probe so that the people of Jammu region get a feeling that they are not being taken for-granted by the Governor’s Council.
“Let the people of Jammu region applaud you for your wisdom. We expect you would not let us down. A CBI probe would be ordered soon. And if that does not happen, it would have both political and social ramifications,” said Ch Lal Singh after leading huge Mashal Rally for demanding CBI probe in Rasana case.
The rally started from his official residence at Gandhi Nagar and after passing through Gandhi Nagar Last Morh, Apsara Road, Gole Market and Nanak Nagar, finally culminated in Trikuta Nagar. “We are seeking CBI inquiry into Rasana case and nothing else. What is the harm? People have doubts over the story of the Crime Branch. These doubts need to be addressed and if those who have been arrested are the ones who hatched conspiracy and murdered the 8- year- old girl,  will the CBI let them go? Not at all,” said Choudhary Lal Singh.
Not trusting a Central Investigating Agency in the case of Jammu and calling it a premier agency in cases pertaining to Kashmir valley speaks volumes about the discriminatory, communal and biased attitude of the Kashmir based political parties,  Ch Lal Singh said.
“Don’t forget, you are MLAs and MLCs because of people of Jammu region. Your silence is being seen as collusion with those who are anti-Jammu and who are against CBI probe in Rasana case. So, before it is too late, I again plead with every Jammu based leader to stand with people of Jammu region and stop being spokesmen of the anti-Jammu forces,” Ch Lal Singh said.
Those who have given-up and are contented  with grave discriminatory and biased attitude of the Kashmir based political parties will not forgiven by future generations, ex-Minister said. “They will ask you where were you when we were called ‘Pro-Rapists’. They will ask you why you remain silent and preferred staying home over participating in the movement for change, the change in the attitude of accepting even the gravest insult silently,” Ch Lal Singh said.
