Samba police rescues 13 bovine animals

SAMBA, June 27: Samba police has rescued 13 bovine animals today which were being smuggled to Kashmir valley.
A Police Party of PS Samba headed by Inspector Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, laid a surprise naka at NHW Mansar Morh, Samba and intercepted one truck bearing Registration No. JK02AS-2911 which was coming from Kathua side, police said.
It said during checking of the vehicle, 13 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported without any permission.  The vehicle and the bovine animals were seized on spot.  In this regard a case FIR No. 183/2018 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, stands registered at P/S Samba and investigation started to nab the driver.
It may be recalled that Samba Police under the directives of SSP, Samba  Anil Magotra has launched a drive against the bovine smuggling in the district.
