NEW DELHI, June 28: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today due to restricted cargo movements against comfortable position of trucks.
Transporters said, besides restricted cargo movements, large position of trucks pulled down freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysore and Coimbatore freight rates eased by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 63,000, Rs 65,000, Rs 68,000 and Rs 72,000, respectively.
Rates to Kochi, Guwahati, Goa, Patna, Baroda and Ahmedabad also fell by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 78,000, Rs 62,000, Rs 61,000, Rs 28,000, Rs 26,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively.
