KATRA, June 28: Ranjit Singh Sambyal, SSP Railways Katra, today inaugurated the CCTNS lab at Police Station GRP Manwal, which has become the 3rd Police Station of GRP Katra to be linked with Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System.
Now no such Police Station remains left without CCTNS lab in GRP Katra. A nationwide online tracking system is connected to MHA, NCRB New Delhi and all State Capitals & Union Territories of the country. It is a significant landmark in making Police more assessable, transparent and citizen friendly.
On the occasion, SSP Railways Katra said that as a part of the national e-governance plan, this is a good step to achieve objectives such as reaching out to the public in quick and transparent manner, enhance the working capability of the Police Department besides improving the law and order problem. The system will facilitate the people in lodging online/offline complaints at these Police Stations. SDPO Railways Udhampur/Katra, SHOs Udhampur and Manwal and I/C PPs Ramnagar and Sangar were also present on the occasion.
