REASI, June 28: The second day of Aghar Jitto Mela witnessed heavy rush of the tourists and devotees from various parts of the State and country.
As per the tradition, a Shobha Yatra was taken out and the chains and other antique objects of farmer saint Baba Jitto were brought in Palki from holy place Raja Mandlik to the temple.
Scores of devotees took part in the Shobha Yatra amid chanting of bhajans and beating of drum, which passed through the market adjacent to the temple. The sounds of drum and traditional karks (ballads) amused the audience.
The devotees also took shower in the local stream revered as holy and with healing qualities.
The people also took keen interest in the stalls set up by the district administration to educate people about the Government schemes.
Meanwhile, children were seen playing games and enjoying other recreation activities at the fair.
The district administration and local committee members have made adequate arrangements for the comfort of the visitors.
The famous Dogri play on the life of farmer saint “Baba Jitto” was presented by the Natrang Theatre group.
