JAMMU, June 28: Director Accounts and Treasuries, Jammu, Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan today reviewed the progress with regard to computerization of Treasuries and asked the NIS authorities to come up with some concrete proposal for alternate service provide where lease connectivity by the BSNL is not feasible so that the remote Treasuries can be put on computerization rails for 100 percent achievement.
During the meeting, which was attended by District Treasury Officers and Treasury Officers of Jammu province to review functioning of the Treasuries, he also laid special emphasis in clearance of audit paras and OB suspense.
The Director also took up the issues raised by the representative of AG office, Commercial Taxes and Joint Director funds Organization Jammu one by one with the Treasury Officers and directed them to redress the grievances so raised on priority so as to provide the hassle free service to the public.
He also sensitize the participating officers to ensure timely uploading of the NPS subscription to the Trustee Bank within stipulated timeframe for effective monitoring of public money.
