RAJOURI, June 29: A bovine smuggler was detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) in district Rajouri today.
He has been identified as Shakeel Ahmed, son of Gulzar Hussain, resident of Mawa Patrara in tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri.
The said smuggler stands booked in a number of cases including FIR No.42/2013 U/s 188/RPC, 3/PC Act Police Station, Sunderbani, FIR No.31/2016 U/s 188/RPC 3/PC Act at Police Station Sunderbani, FIR No.94/2018 U/s 188/RPC, 3/PC Act P/S Nowshera and FIR No.68/2018 at Police Station, Sunderbani.
Accused was time and again found involved in bovine smuggling and was becoming a threat for social order and public order. An order for his detention was issued by District Magistrate Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on the recommendations of a dossier submitted by SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas and a team of Sunderbani Police Station headed by SI Ajeet Singh under the supervision of Inspector Tilak Raj SHO Sunderbani executed the warrant of detention.
