UDHAMPUR, June 30: A young woman was allegedly raped by a local youth at village satiyan in Ramnagar tehsil last night.
A police spokesman said that the victim and her husband told Ramnagar police that one Ajay Kumar, son of Pritam Chand, resident of the same village caught hold of the woman at their cattle shed and committed rape last evening. The accused later escaped.
The police registered a case FIR No. 100/ 2018 and started investigation. The accused was still at large and police was conducting raids to nab him.
