UDHAMPUR, July 1: J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum today demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA teachers and masters.
While speaking during a monthly meeting of the Forum, which was attended by delegates of Forum from all the eleven zones of the district, State president, Vinod Sharma and district president, Lekh Raj Parihar, highlighted the burning issue of SSA teachers and masters. They demanded the implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of these teachers as benefit of 6th Pay Commission has already been given to them and delaying the benefit of 7th Pay Commission has put the SSA teachers and masters in mental trauma.
Vinod Sharma also demanded the delinking of SSA salary from the source of funding (MHRD) to State budget so that permanent solution of the salaries of these teachers be found and families of more than forty thousand teachers may not suffer any more.
Lekh Raj Parihar demanded the release SSA salary for the month of February 2018 which has been kept pending instead salary for the months of March, April and May has been released (without 7th Pay Commission) which is harassment of these teachers.
He appealed Governor, his Advisors, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Finance and Secretary School Education to resolve these issues of SSA teachers without any delay.
