JAMMU, July 1: Pradesh Mahila Congress led by its president Indu Pawar launched Shakti project including women workers from Block and District units party office here today.
As per the project, the Mahila Congress workers at grass root will have a direct connection with the national president Rahul Gandhi. Aim of this project is to understand problems of our grass root level workers who are affected and connected. This will be directly in contact with the persons at base level whose voice sometimes cannot draw attention of authorities. This way problems of local area, region, state and at country level will have better redressal.
Pradesh Mahila Congress will also carry on this programme of conduct of such meetings in Srinagar and Leh shortly to strengthen the Congress and also empower women in the longer run.
Other office bearers who were present on the occasion included – Vandana Makhnotra, Sushma Choudhary, Veena Kumari, Amna Kalyan, Chanchal Dogra, Sunita Rajpur and others.
