16th Annual Holy Singhasan Mata Jyot Yatra flagged off

JAMMU, July 1: Chairman, Team Jammu, Zorawar Singh Jamwal, today flagged off week-long 16th Annual Holy Singhasan Mata Jyot Yatra, from Rani Talab (Digiana) to Chitto Paddar in Gulabgarh belt of Kishtwar district.
Hundreds of devotees including youth, women and children led by Sagun Sharma today assembled at Rani Talab, Digiana Temple and started yatra, in the shape of procession, amidst dancing on the tunes of drum beats and enchanting ‘Jai Mata Di’.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, who was the chief guest on the occasion, while flagging off the yatra said, “the participation of youth in religious activities helps them in inculcating nationalist approach as no religion preaches hate. Besides, such activities also help them in utilizing their energy in a positive manner.”
In his address, Zorawar Singh Jamwal called upon women to motivate their wards to do take part in religious activities besides focusing in education as such programs also motivate them to stay away from anti-social activities like drug abuse. “Any person who is religious cannot even think of even testing drugs and instead he/she can further play important role in helping and reforming those who have become addicts,” said Jamwal and called upon one and all to get united in fighting this social evil which is spoiling the younger generation.
Singhasan Mata Sewa Dal, Jammu, Sardar Pritpal Singh, Lovely Singh, Apple Gupta, Varun Jojra, Pardeep Sharma, Sunil Verma, Varun Mahajan, Rakesh Chouhan, Pardeep Chopra, Rakesh Sharma Ketan Sharma and Ashok Sharma were among committee members present on the occasion.
