Militants attack police party

SRINAGAR, July 1: Militants today attacked a joint patrolling party of the Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Militants fired at the patrolling party in Dalipora village of the district. However, no loss of life or injury has been reported in the incident.
In the meantime, a youth was detained during a Cordon-And-Search-Operation (CASO) in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district this morning.
A search operation was launched in Wahab Parray Mohalla of Hajin last night following inputs about the presence of militants. However, no contact was established with the militants believed to be hiding in the area.
One Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, who is an activist of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), was picked up by the forces during the search operation.
