JAMMU, July 1: ‘We The Human’ (a public charitable trust) and 92.7 BIG FM Jammu celebrated Doctors’ Day by organizing two different functions in Jammu.
The function by ‘We The Human’ was organized at Committee Hall of Amar Singh Club Jammu, where a number of doctors were awarded with lifetime achievement awards for their remarkable services rendered to ameliorate sufferings of mankind.
The doctors who were awarded on the occasion were Dr Veronika Dogra MDS (Prosthodontist), Dr Pankhuri Sethi BDS, Dr Shivali Gupta BDS (Dental Surgeon), Dr Khalid Mahmood Gastroenterologist/ Hepatologist & advanced Therapeutic Endoscopist, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Gupta in-charge Control Room GMC Hospital Jammu, Dr Deepak Kapoor (MS Ophthalmology) and Dr Mashkoor Ahmed Wani (Associate Professor, Department of Dermatology, GMC Jammu).
The function was attended by senior resource persons of trust and noted environmentalists viz. Prem Singh, R S Jasrotia, P K Ganju, YS Manhas, Ajay Sahney, S K Arora, Shiv Raina, Mahinder Kumar, B D Choudhary and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurucharan Singh, chairman of the trust, complimented doctors for devoting their services for needy and down trodden strata of society. He said that we needed to acknowledge the fact that Dr B C Roy is role models for all doctors in India.
YS Manhas, PK Ganju and AK Verma, threw light over activities of the trust which are dedicated towards nature and mankind.
Meanwhile, 92.7 BIG FM Jammu celebrated Doctors’ Day in a Musical way at Jammu Tawi Golf Course Sidhra in which doctors of Jammu who have the talent of singing and playing musical instruments were invited.
They shared their talent by playing on the spot musical contests hosted by BIG FM MJ Juhie and MJ Roohi in which they played Antakshari and other musical games. The purpose of this activity was to thank the Doctors for their selfless services for the mankind as they lead a very hectic life due to their professional commitments.
Prominent doctors of Jammu who were invited include Principal, GMC Jammu, Dr Sunanda Raina, Dr Sunil Kotwal, Dr Vikas Padha, Dr Ritesh Gupta and Dr Virender.
