No question of Cong-PDP coalition: Majid Wani

Excelsior Correspondent
DODA, July 2:  Former minister and senior PCC leader Abdul Majid Wani today said that Congress has not forgotten the back-stabbing by PDP during Azad Government and there is no question of formation of Government with PDP in the State.
In a press statement issued here today, Wani while  referring to media reports regarding  possible PDP- Congress coalition in J&K said  that therse are mere rumours created by some vested interests.  He said  on Sunday senior national leader of the party,  Ghulam Nabi Azad had categorically, rejected any such possibility of Government formation with PDP.
He said the people and party activists have not forgotten the backstabbing by PDP when   Ghulam Nabi Azad was Chief Minister of  the state.  During 2008, when  Azad had restored the state back on development path after militancy  and brought the era of massive development, the PDP which was coalition back stabbed the Congress party. That era is still remembered by every one in the State.
Whether it was bifurcation of different departments into separate departments for Jammu as well as Kashmir, construction of Haj House buildings in Srinagar, construction of Yatri Niwas Bhawan in Jammu, carving out new districts, giving equal share to all regions and meeting out long pending demands of people, speeding up state infrastructural development by government agencies in two or three shifts in a day, restoration of tourism and forest infrastructures, which were badly damaged during militancy period, restoration of TRC buildings all over the state, connecting all far flung areas of state with a strong network of roads  and bridges, the state progress a lot under him.
The state was touching new horizons of growth and development under the able leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad as  Chief Minister,  but it was not well digested by few destructive minded leaders of J&K, who cooked up conspiracies and dislodged the Government.
Wani further said that  keeping in view anti- BJP feelings of people of Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad offered unconditional outside support of the Congress party to the PDP, after  2014  elections but the PDP leadership, which fought 2014 Assembly elections on anti- RSS plank, playing with the feelings of people entered into an unholy coalition partnership with the BJP only to fulfill it’s greed of power and money. This Govt proved worst in the history of the State.
