JAMMU, July 7: Led by their President Ashok Gupta, Dogra Front and Shiv Sena activists here today staged a protest demonstration against the separatists of Kashmir and torched their photos.
Speaking on the occasion Ashok Gupta said that separatist leader Yasin Malik is facing over 200 cases, Mirwaiz 50 cases and Sayed Ali Shah Geelani is responsible for hundreds of deaths.
He said that Hurriyat must be immediately made irrelevant as none has elected its leaders and so Hurriyat does not represent the people of Kashmir.
“The central government should withdraw all the funding and security of Hurriyat so that its leaders roam into the streets of Srinagar like ordinary people,” Gupta said adding that the central government should also immediately stop talking to Hurriyat.
He further said that there must be massive outreach to the common man on the street and the alienation must be addressed without involving Hurriyat.
“Send arrested stone pelters to prison for a year in States like Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar. Ensure them all the human rights they want – food, rest, recreation etc. No one will be mistreated or even touched,” he maintained.
Those who were present in the protest included Chanchal, Veena, Asha, Reeta, Sudesh and others.
