RAJOURI, July 8: Rajouri police today nabbed a notorious narcotic smuggler and seized around 300 grams of Charas from his possession.
Acting on specific information, a joint team of Special Operation Group (SOG) and Rajouri Police intercepted the accused from Panja Chowk area and recovered 16 rolls (Challis) of charas from his possession.
Police seized the Charas and arrested accused, identified Rajan Gupta alias Laddi son of Raj Kumar Gupta of Kalakote. A case FIR 364/2018 U/S 8/20 NDPS has been registered against in this connection.
The accused Rajan Gupta is a notorious narcotic smuggler who already stands booked in multiple cases in Rajouri district and outside. He was also detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) some times back.
