Ghordi, adjoining areas continue to remain cut off

UDHAMPUR, July 9: Thousands of inhabitants of village Ghordi and adjoining hamlets continue to remain cut off from mainland for the last nine days following blockage of Udhampur to Ghordi road due to landslide.
About 50 thousand inhabitants of 27 villages, including  Barmeen, Bhugtrian, Birnoo, Nalla Ghoran and  Dalser  are suffering because of the landslide and consequent blockage of the road, which is only surface link for them to Udhampur mainland.
Peoples of the area are facing hard to move from Ghordi to Udhampur and Udhampur to Ghordi, especially in shifting of the serious patients to District Hospital Udhampur. The employees are also facing hard to reach at duty station due to non availability of the transport.
