Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Dec 22: Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana said that the BJP and the PDP are unleashing a wave of communal and divisive politics in the State in a bid to create political instability for petty political gains.
Rana, who was addressing the gathering of supporters and party men of BCP whose State President Rohit Bali joined National Conference here today at party headquarters Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan said that the National Conference will not allow the fringe communal elements either in Jammu or in Kashmir to play the regional card because the design of these elements is detrimental to the cause of the State and is not acceptable to the people.
He said BJP is a fountain head of communal politics in the country and was now spreading communalism in the State for petty political gains. He said BJP has lost its moorings in the State and is now struggling to hopelessly reestablish itself by raising issues with communal overtones thereby attempting to disturb the secular fabric of the State.
The Political Advisor said the PDP which lacks ideology and is fighting internal crises due to dissension within the party leadership is trying to somehow keep itself afloat by indulging in divisive politics so that the focus shifts from the internal dynamics of that party (PDP).
Rana said State had always suffered because of the divisive politicking of negative elements who occasionally surface but the people of all regions and religions were now unanimous over the need to protect a harmonious atmosphere.
He said National Conference under the leadership of Omar Abdullah will fight all such forces and defeat them in their nefarious designs because Jammu & Kashmir is an epitome of secularism, brotherhood and communal harmony and nobody will be allowed to disturb the peaceful harmonious secular fabric of the State. Rattan Lal,  provincial president NC also spoke on the occasion.
