JAMMU, Dec 22 : Ex-Legislator and State president of Janta Dal (Secular) Dhanraj Bargotra passed away today after a brief illness.
He was 84 and breathed his last at GMC Hospital Jammu where he admitted four days back. He is survived by three sons and a daughter.
According to the family members, the cremation will take place tomorrow afternoon at Jogi Gate at 2 p.m.
Born on September 28, 1928, Mr Bargotra remained active in politics throughout his life and had been member of both the Houses. He represented Nagrota Assembly constituency as MLA from 1977 to 1983. In 1998, he was elected to the Legislative Council. He also remained in jail during the emergency for his active association with the JP movement.
