Minor among 2 injured as Sumo plunges into gorge

DODA, July 20: Two persons including a minor boy were injured, when the Tata Sumo they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Ichar in Block Changa, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandoh Police Station.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-9058 was on its way from Ichar to Gowari, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into gorge near Ichar in Block Changa, resulting into injuries to two persons.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and rescued the injured persons with the help of locals.
The injured persons were shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Changa, from where one of the injured person was referred to District Hospital Doda for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as 27-year-old Parvaz Ahmed (driver), son of Mohammad Bashir of Kokernag Kashmir and Mohammad Ahad (7), son of Mohammad Iqbal, a resident of Ichar, Block Changa, District Doda.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
