SOUVENIR
The eyes that mesmerized me,
The smiles that engaged me,
The words that engrossed me,
The excuses that convinced me,
The tears that broke me,
The hands that tutelaged me,
The hugs that connected me,
And these are,
The memories that blemished me…

SPRING SEASON
Spring, the sweet spring,
is the year’s pleasant king,
Then blooms each thing,
then maids dance in a ring,
Cold doth not sting,
the pretty birds do sing:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we,
to-witta-woo!
The palm and may make country houses gay,
Lambs frisk and play,
the shepherds pipe all day,
And we hear aye birds tune this merry lay:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to-witta-woo!
The fields breathe sweet, the daisies kiss our feet,
Young lovers meet, old wives a-sunning sit,
In every street these tunes our ears do greet:
Cuckoo, jug-jug, pu-we, to witta-woo!

POLITICAL WARFARE
It’s a game, called politics,
lies, drama, violence….all mix
Laws and Rules run hand in hand,
Promises, instead of stone are written on sand
Rallies and arguments
comprise the weaponary,
Silence they use, for scams to busy.
Survival of the fittest’ supports the mentally set,
Ideologies differ within, once they form cabinet
Parties collide, but that’s not rare,
Sometimes to take power, sometimes to share
Issues and agendas ruin their rank,
They fear, not God, but voting bank
Sometimes they fuse, mostly undergo fission,
A member of yours can even join opposition.
Petrol and Diesel rates never stabilise,
Crops are being crushed, they never realize
They make their move, the bond is broken,
To take the throne, religion is the token.
From 1947-till 2018, all their words were fake,
For 2019, who will cut the cake.

LIKE A STAR
Just like the stars in the sky,
With clouds aiming to make them cry;
They’re so minor but never lack to try,
They may get hidden for a while,
Soon again smile and greet hie!
I too shine like those stars,
I may get criticism and scar;
But my destiny is yet so far,
Hardwork is my only car,
And my aim has no bar.
I am tiny but I glitter bright,
With abundance of competitors, it’s hard to fight;
I’ve dreams that don’t let me sleep every night,
I’ll find my own way and I won’t collide.
In a twinkling,
I will fly high;
Similar to the shining star in the sky!
