Govt School in Kalaban self speaks its condition

Excelsior Correspondent
POONCH, July 21: A Govt Primary School in Kalaban area of Mendhar constituency of  district Poonch is  lying in pitiable condition due to apathy of School Education department.
Such is the condition of  this Govt Primary School, Banen Wali (Kalaban)  that its pictures self speak the state of neglect  by the District Education authorities and the concerned Legislator.  It is more interesting to note that this school falls in the area from were the sitting MLA from National Conference, Javed Ahmed Rana belongs.
The ground reality of this school is depicted in the picture and the villagers are helpless in sending their children to this school where, even they would not like to keep their cattle. There is no other school nearby.
The tall claims of the Government and concerned  State Education authorities seems hollow if we see the dilapidated condition of  this Govt school having strength of 25. There is strong resentment among the people of the area against the District and State Education authorities. The building is also unsafe and it may collapse any time. There is immense seepage  in the  roof and in case of  bad weather/ rain the school is closed. The locals allege that Education Department is playing with the lives of their children and despite repeated requests to the concerned ZEO, DyCEO and the MLA, its  condition was not improved.
