Dip Enggs criticise CE

JAMMU, July 25: All J&K Diploma Engineers Association has strongly criticized the Chief Engineer (Hyd)  for representing Degree Holder Association   and plying bias role in  filling up of the vacant posts at various level on 80:20 bases in favour of degree and diploma against the available vacancies.
President of the Association Upinder Singh wondered that how an officer sitting at the level of Chief Engineer  can be ignorant of the rules.  He alleged that CEs have not projected the true picture.  There is strong resentment in the cadre against the act of the Chief Engineer.
The Central body of the Diploma Engineers demanded  immediate release of the promotion list from AE to AEE in favour of Diploma Engineers as per Govt order No. 107-GAD of 2002 in all the engineering wings. They alleged that these lists have been deliberately with held  to accommodate Degree holders.
They also demanded restoration of entry level grade, maintenance of cadre  strength especially at the level of AEE  and XEN and enhancement of field travel allowance.
Anil Gupta, chairman;  J S Rathore convenor , Naresh Sawhney,  Narinder Singh and others also attended the meeting.
