Pensioners’ plea to Governor

JAMMU, July 25: All Jammu & Kashmir Pensioners & Civil Society Association, (Jammu) has urged upon the Governor’s Administration to solve the genuine issues of the State pensioners.
In a meeting of the Association held here today under the chairmanship of N D Sharma, general secretary, the members discussed their pending issues and sought their resolution. They pointed out that  about 50 % less pension is being paid to the pensioners of 4th and 5th CPC as per formulation No. I instead of full pension as per formulation -II with effect from January Ist, 2016. They demanded that applications for revision of pension need not to be routed through sanctioning authorities /DDOs where from pensioners retired instead it should be allowed to send direct to the AG (A&E) J&K. Arrears of pension payments to the pensioners should be allowed in one go.
They also demanded enhancement of medical allowance of employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, release of DA arrears at the rate of 6 % and fully implementation of Mediclaim Insurance  Scheme. They sought the intervention of Governor N N Vohra, Advisor B B Vyas  into the matter.
