JAMMU, July 26: Jourian police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 4 cattle and arresting two persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Jourian Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02BU-2338.
During checking, police rescued 4 cattle and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Dhanatar Lal, son of Shana Ram of Bakore and Mohammad Rashid, son of Ghulam Hussain of Seela, District Reasi.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Jourian Police Post SI Anil Choudhary foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh, SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand and SP Rural Dushyant Sharma.
