JAMMU, July 28: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production here today observed World Hepatitis Day by staging Dogri Musical Play ‘Hepatitis Mukt Bharat’.
The play was written, produced and directed by M.L Dogra, former Regional Director Song and Drama Division.
Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director Health while R.P Amla, Event Director BLSKS; J.K Raina, Freelancer Producer Director TV; Dr. A.C Bhagat and Dr. Anju Dogra were Guests of Honour.
The programme started with songs and dances to aware the gathering about liver safety.
Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest said that World Hepatitis Day is observed every year on July 28 to raise awareness of viral hepatitis and its impact worldwide.
Earlier in welcome address M.L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS threw light on Hepatitis B and C virus and said that these are the leading causes of liver cancer in the world.
Dr. Anju Dogra talked about the symptoms of the liver disease.
The artists who performed in the play were Usha Handoo, M.C Kotwal, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Kuldeep Raj, Renu Saproo, Dhruv Pandit, Vansh Raina, Megha Raina, Saparsh Sharma, Rakshit Sharma, Bodh Raj, Nitin Sharma, Ujwal Sharma, Sawan Koul, Azen Ali and many others.
