JAMMU, July 29: The Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, All Departments Clerical Staff Association has given a call for pen down strike on August 2 demanding the removal of pay anomaly of the clerical staff.
In a meeting at Srinagar, Association leader, Ali Mohammad Mir said that it will be a token strike with strong protests at all the District Headquarters against the ‘undue delay’ in removing the pay anomaly.
He appealed to the Governor, N.N Vohra to approve the proposal for removal of the pay disparity.
He further said that the issue has already been examined and recommended by two highly empowered committees-Vyas Committee of 2007 and Khanday Committee of 2012.
“But these recommendations were put in cold storage and were not implemented in favour of the clerical cadre,” he maintained.
