JAMMU, July 29: Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai today convened public outreach programme here under the aegis of JK Governor’s Grievance Cell where scores of delegations and number of individuals apprised him about their issues and demands.
The delegations hailing from various districts including Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Udhampur, Kishtwar projected demands related to road connectivity, water supply, power supply, healthcare and sanitation, relief, compensation to flood affected families and many other issues.
Delegations also included ICDS Supervisors Association, Animal Husbandry Employees Association, Jammu Doctors Forum, Nidheesh Enclave Resident Welfare Association, All J&K 10+2 Lecturers Forum, PMGSY Contractors, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation, Contractual Lecturers of Colleges, Helpline Humanity (NGO),International Human Rights Organization, All Diploma Engineers Association and SSA Teachers Forum.
The Employees Union representatives sought benefits of running grade, time bound promotion of 10+2 Lectures and under graduate teachers, DPCs and filling of vacant posts in Animal Husbandry Department.
A deputation from village Chiralla in Doda district demanded upgrading of PHC, power supply receiving station, opening of Zonal Education Office and JK Bank Branch in their area. They also demanded construction of all-weather road from Mongri Morh to Sewa.
People from Pouni of Reasi district demanded early settlement of their revenue cases.
Another delegation from village Mahanpur in Kathua sought pacing up of renovation work of primary school at Ker and construction of roads in the area.
Interacting with the delegations, Advisor said that all out efforts are being made to ensure satisfactory and uninterrupted delivery of services to the people at their doorstep.
The Advisor assured the deputations that all their genuine demands would be addressed at the earliest.
