ABHM holds convention, elects Chetan as State president

JAMMU, July 29: Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) today held a one-day State level convention here today during which Chetan Sharma was elected as its State president.
After being elected, Chetan Sharma constituted State body and various district bodies. The meeting unanimously adopted seven resolutions including repeal of Article 35(A) as well as Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, immediate deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis settled illegally in Jammu, emergency measures at all levels to check attempts of demographic change of Jammu, CBI inquiry into murder of Sandeep Kulkarni (petitioner in the case for repeal of 35-A and founder of “We The Citizens”.
The meeting also resolved to initiate nationwide movement for early construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya, construction of a grand Bharat Mata Temple in Jammu and establishment of Gau-Shalas in all districts of the State so that cows are not only protected but also given due care.
Chetan Sharma, while speaking on the occasion, exhorted all Hindus to unite under the banner of Hindu Mahasabha, which has been rightfully engaged for the cause of Hindus since pre- independence times.
He said a befitting reply be given to separatists and anti-national elements with trifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir with Kashmir be made as Union Territory whereas Jammu and Ladakh be declared as two separate states with Hindu CM in Jammu state. He announced that Hindu Mahasabha would carry out the fight to nominate MLAs for 24 assembly seats of PoK left vacant in State Legislature.
