KATRA, July 30: Katra Police today apprehended five gamblers and recovered Rs 26 thousand bet money from their possession.
The arrested accused were identified as Madan Lal, Vijay Kumar, Chanchal Singh, Kewal Krishan and Sohan Lal, all resident of Kundarorian, Katra.
They were gambling in open place at Kundarorian Katra when a Police party raided the area and arrested then besides Rs 26 thousands bet money and playing card.
The accused persons have been booked under 13 Gambling Act at Police Station Katra. The arrest and recovery was made by SHO PS Katra, Inspr. Surinder Paul Singh, assisted by SI Joginder Singh, under the supervision of Addl SP Katra Naresh Singh.
