SRINAGAR: As many as 176 persons were arrested for stone pelting while there were 39 violent incidents during which eight security personnel and three civilians were martyred and 14 militants were killed since the imposition of Governor rule in the Jammu and Kashmir from June 20, 2018.
This information was given by Minister of State for Home Affairs, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, a Press Information Bureau (PIB) statement said here this evening.
He said there were 39 incidents of militant violence after the imposition of central rule from June 20 to July 19, 2018. He said eight security force personnel were martyred while three civilians were also killed in the violence. (AGENCIES)
