Kichloo seeks regularization of daily wagers

KISHTWAR, Aug 2: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and Former Home Minister Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo demanded issuance of SRO for the regularization of all daily wagers.
Large number of daily wagers gathered at several places and putting their demands in front of
Government and raised slogans against the Government for lodging their protest against delay in issuance of the required SRO for their regularization and they also threatened for indefinite strike if their issue is not addressed.
While hearing the genuine demands of the daily wagers, Kichloo said that they were struggling from past several years for regularization and they are performing their duties at meager wages regularly which is affecting their livelihood in high inflation, but the Government had been assuring them necessary action but these assurances have turned out to be mere lip service.
Moreover, Kichloo said that it is almost more than three months, since cabinet approval of the roadmap but the SRO has not been issued so far. He alleged that the Government seems to be following delaying tactics. He further seeks the regularization of daily wagers who have completed seven years of service and demanded on the behalf of protestors for the implementation of SRO 381, SRO 59, and other Government orders, allotment of designation to regularized workers.
He further warned that on the behalf of the aggrieved daily wagers that if the Government does not issue the regularization SRO, than the association would launch a vigorous agitation and the Government will be responsible for any untoward incident.
