JAMMU, Aug 2: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka near Kulian and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BA-6738.
During checking, police recovered 8 grams of heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Tejinder Pal Singh alias Chottu, son of Wakeel Singh, a resident of Ward Number 1, Simbal Camp.
A case under FIR Number 110/18 under Section 8/21/22 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
