RAMBAN, Aug 4: Banihal and Gool police rescued 23 cattle and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Banihal Police Station laid a naka near Kharpora and intercepted a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK19-3186.
During checking, police rescued 9 cattle from the vehicle and arrested driver of the vehicle, who has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, a resident of Panthyal.
A case under FIR Number 136/18 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Banihal Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajad Sarwar, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
Meanwhile, a team from Gool Police Station rescued 14 cattle and arrested three persons.
The arrested persons have been identified as Altaf Hussain, son of Mushtaq Ahmed pf Jamasalan, Mahore, Mohammad Shafi and Mushtaq Ahmed, both sons of Sian, residents of Buddan.
A case under FIR Number 74/18 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Gool and investigation started.
