Backdoor appointments in RDD

Sir,
Please refer to the news item”224 backdoor appointments of GRS…….in RDD” wherein it has been reported that a number of GRS and Computer operators have been appointed in the Rural Development Department on pick and choose basis and without following any norms of recruitment which is not only in violation of recruitment rules, but also a very corrupt practice and against the interest of society at large.
The engagement of daily wagers on large scale in different departments are made in the same manner. No recruitment procedure is followed in these engagements.
The principle of money makes a mere go is followed and only those having some political support and money are able to get the benefit. And after some period of time these daily wagers start demand for regularisation and often launch agitations in support of their demand as if they were engaged on the basis of merit and qualifications.
Mostly these backdoor appointees are regularised and the new bands of daily wagers are engaged. In this way, this vicious cycle continues which leads to unemployment among the educated youths.
Hence,it is suggested that all such backdoor appointments should be terminated and a complete ban on the engagement of daily wagers should be imposed upon all of the departments in future so that fair and constitutional methods are adopted in all recruitments.
