SRINAGAR, Aug 07: Police arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs. 5010 – from their possession in Ashai Bath area here today.
A Police spokesman said that in its endeavour to curb social crimes, a police party of Police Station Nigeen raided a gambling site at Ashai Bagh and arrested four gamblers. The stake money of Rs. 5010 and gambling cards were recovered from the gambling site.
He identified the gamblers as Mohmad Rafiq Dand son of Gh Mohmad resident of Kralyar Jogilankar Rainawari, Ab Hamid Nadab son of Mohmmad Maqbool resident of Kralyar Rainawari Jogilanker, Aijaz Ahmad Dar son of Ab Rehman Dar resident of Kupwara and Mushtaq Ahmad Wandroo son of Mohammad Amin resident of Rainawari Nayed boni.
“In this regard, a case FIR No. 95/2018 under Section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation taken up,” he added.
