JAMMU, Aug 11: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Kotli Charkan and intercepted a scooter bearing registration number JK02T-0899.
During checking, police recovered 15 litres of illicit liquor from the vehicle and arrested the rider, who has been identified as Kewal Krishan, son of Sardari lal of Kotli Charkan.
A case under FIR Number 157/18 under Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
