RAJOURI, Aug 11: The police seized 12 bovine animals from the possession of smugglers in Keri and Chatyari area of Chingus in district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that a police team headed by Incharge PP Chatyari, Chingus, SI Fareed Ahmed was on routine patrolling when a smuggler was seen moving on foot with seven milch animals. All the bovines were rescued and smuggler was arrested on the spot. The police did not disclose the identity of the smuggler.
The same police team agains intercepted a vehicle No. JK03E/ 4887 at Chatyari which was carrying five bovine animals. All the bovines were rescued and driver was arrested from the spot while vehicle was seized. Two separate FIRs were registered against the accused persons.
