Mendhar Police arrests 2 thieves, recovers stolen goods

MENDHAR, Dec 25: Mendhar Police has arrested two thieves while another is yet absconding who were involved in various theft cases in the area.
The Mendhar Police today disclosed that two thieves namely Tahir Hussian Shah and Mohammed Yaqoob of Golad Mendhar were arrested by it who were involved in two recent theft cases in the area and a huge quantity of valuable goods and cash was recovered from them.
However, their another accomplice is still absconding and the police has launched a man hunt to arrest him also.
Police said that two FIRs were registered one in Police Station Mendhar under FIR No 167 under Section 457 and 380 RPC and another FIR No. 93/12 in Police Station Gursain under Section 380 RPC in this connection.
Following the public outcry the SP Mendhar Shamsher Hussian constituted a team of police officers under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar Amit Bhasin for investigation and arrest of the thieves.
The team swung into action and after raiding a number of hideouts it arrested two thieves while the third one is still at large. The police has recovered all stolen goods from the duo which included six mobile sets, Rs 40,000 cash, one golden ring, costly clothes, foreign torch and three wrist watches.
