JAMMU, Aug 21: A delegation of the Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Forum today called on MLA Nagrota and Provincial President National Conference Devender Singh Rana and sought his intervention in seeking the 7th Pay Commission recommendations implemented in favour of SSA teachers from April 2018, as has been done in case of the State Government employees.
Led by Rajesh Jamwal, Provincial President of the Forum, the delegation presented a memorandum, listing the various other demands and issues, which, inter-allia, include release of pending salaries and delinking SSA teachers from the State plan as there is huge pendency of arrears ReTs regularized since 2014 onwards due to their late regularization; transfer policy for regularised ReT teachers, as per the judgment of the High Court and Government Order 469 Edu of 2014 and regularization of Education Volunteers and ReTs, whose cases are pending in the Directorate of Education for a long now.
Later, a delegation of the Anganwari Workers and Helpers also met the Provincial President and described the hike in their wages as a crude joke. They sought justice to be dispensed to them, given the fact that they have put in many years in successful implementation of the Integrated Child Development Programme. They expressed anguish over shabby treatment being meted out to them and said that their legitimate demands be fulfilled earnestly.
Devender Singh Rana heard the problems of the two delegations and assured that he will take all these issues with the administration for a favourable consideration at the earliest.
