JAMMU, Dec 26: National Panthers Party (NPP) today expressed serious concern over very slow pace of work on already much delayed railway line from Udhampur to Qazigund.
In a meeting of the party leadership held here today, the members alleged that Congress seems to be part of Dixon plan in Kashmir. The party expressed its surprise that 11 km tunnel from Banihal to Qazigund will be thrown open for rail traffic by March next whereas, other tunnels connecting Udhampur to Banihal ranging from 2 to 4 kms have not been completed despite consuming so long time.
The NPP expressed doubts on the intentions of Central Government to bring rail from Qazigund to Banihal instead taking it from Jammu to Banihal. They alleged that Congress leadership was implementing Dixon plan in Kashmir in connivance with the Abdullah family.
Prof Bhim Singh, Balwant Singh Mankotia-MLA, Daljit Singh, P K Ganjoo, B L Sharma, Anita Thakur, Neelam Mahajan and others attended the meeting.
