Copper, Nickel rises on increased demand

NEW DELHI, Dec 28: Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg each on the non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries and a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange.
Traders said the rise in select base metal prices was mostly attributed to rising demand from consuming industries and a firming trend at the London Metal Exchange(LME).
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months climbed 0.5 per cent to USD 7,955.25 a tonne at the LME.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4×4) rose by Rs 2 each Rs 417 and Rs 1,049-1,052 per kg respectively.
The following are metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 115-119, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,049-1,052, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 417, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 143, lead imported 141, Aluminium ingots 128, sheet cutting 129, aluminium wire scrap 133 and aluminium utensils scrap 128. (PTI)
