JAMMU, Dec 28: A meeting of House Committee (HC) of Legislative Council was held under the chairmanship of Amrit Malhotra here today.
The meeting discussed various issues concerning MLCs besides suggesting several innovative measures for further facilitating these members.
A detailed deliberation was held on enhancement in housing and car loans for MLCs and the Chairman directed the Council Secretariat to prepare a proposal so that the same could be taken up with the concerned for consideration.
Jehangir Hussain Mir raised various problems and demands including adequate security and enhancement of POL at par with the MLAs for their vehicles.
Legislators, Nizamu-ud-Din Khatana, Jugal Kishore Sharma, S. M. Rafiq Shah and Ali Mohammad Dar also raised various issues in the meeting.
Secretary Legislative Council, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Deputy Secretary Legislative Council, M. M. Bhat, besides officers and officials of the Council Secretariat attended the meeting.
