Cash from Gurudwara ‘golak’ stolen

KATHUA, Dec 28: Some thieves barged into a Gurudwara and decamped with `golak’ containing cash donations worth over Rs 10, 000 from Kathua area last night.
Reports said some unknown thieves barged into a Gurudwara at Kuke Chak near Kathua and decamped with its donation box (Golak) last mid night. The matter came to the notice of public after priest (Granthi) noticed the ‘golak’ missing and locks of Gurudwara broken in the morning.
He informed the devotees and later they moved to the police station to lodge an FIR. The police registered a case and started investigation. The `golak’ was later recovered from nearby canal during the day.
