KATHUA, Aug 27: The Dogra Swabhimman Sangthan (DSS) is holding a mass rally in Kathua to unite the people with Sangthan and to make them aware of the Dogra pride and the 25 point agenda of Sangthan for the upliftment of Dogra community which was of its rights deprived for decades together.
This was stated by the representatives of Sangthan, Advocate Kirti Bhushan Mahajan, Purshotam Singh, Jatinder Singh , Mohinder Singh while addressing a press conference here, today.
The leaders of the Sangthan said that DSS is going to organise a mass motorcycle rally under the leadership of founder chairman , MLA, Ch LAL Singh on August 29 morning .The mass motorcycle rally will start from residence of Ch LAL Singh and will pass through more than 25 village falling under Kathua and Basholi Constituency. The Dogra Swabhimman Sangthan is fighting for the rights of Dogras of Jammu whether they are Hindus, Sikh, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists or Janis, they added.
They alleged that the Kashmir Centric leadership discriminated with the Dogras in every field. Even during the Congress-PDP regime, the delimitation has taken place but to appease Kashmiris the number of districts in both the regions was made equal while the some districts of Jammu have double the area than Kashmir districts but they were not bifurcated in two districts.
Moreover no delimitation of Assembly and Parliamentary Constituencies was made in Jammu by the successive governments with the result the Jammu has less number of Assembly and Parliamentary Constituencies despite the fact it has more area and more population than Kashmir Valley.
They said why not holiday is declared on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh. The Dogras will get the answer of all questions and disparities from Kashmiri leadership on 23rd of September on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh in huge rally scheduled to be held in Jammu. They appealed the people to support Dogra Swabhimman Sangthan to get justice.
